We have to heal before we get freedom...
I remember sitting at the table and trying to savor a bite of cake. Sure, I could do it... but when the big stress hit later that night or week, I was powerless. And no amount of savoring was going to help in the midst of that tsunami. Despite my dietitian background.
Instead, my goal is to teach you how to enjoy food for what it is. Just Food. You can't lean on it for emotional support because it doesn't provide that (that's why you keep wanting more!). And we waste our energy trying to control and contain it.
Instead, it is about celebrating food as one small piece of a rich life. It's about eating the foods that make us feel good, and healing the rest so our eating is no longer out of control. Then, it doesn't require willpower, restriction, or fear.
My own transformation includes going from size 22 to size 8 (landing at size 12). But the weight didn't change my life, it was everything else. Finding more self-worth, dealing with life in a way that didn't exhaust me, and having more energy and comfort. Now I help other women take control over food using nutritional biochemistry (body), subconscious reprogramming (mind), and self-love (heart) so they can feel better mentally and physically. Instead of diet and restriction, life gets richer!
This world is too incredible to focus on contraction and restriction. Instead, it's about celebrating that we are powerful goddesses full of light and joy who ALSO have shadows and things that we are dealing with. By learning to hold the darkness, we expand and open ourselves for the vibrant, juicy lives we are meant for.

Who is Juniper?
Juniper Devecis MS, RD, CCN is an outside-the-box functional dietitian, biochemist, hypnotherapist, herbalist, and yoga teacher. Her lifetime battles with weight led her to a degree in nutritional biochemistry and 20-year career as a dietitian involved in research, teaching, and designing supplements.
